EgyptAir’s inflight magazine, Horus, is published in English and Arabic every two months. They use 24-30 pages of editorial content in English in every issue.

The small staff is currently developing a long-term story bank for the magazine. While it will be partly Egypt-oriented, each issue will cover a foreign destination. I’ve just queried Frankfurt, Germany. A feature runs 1,000-1,500 words and a short article 500-800 words.
The Managing editor is Kate Durham (Kate.Durham@IBAEGYPT.COM). I’ve found Kate very approachable. I wrote for her when she edited a different publication and I can tell you she loves photos. In fact, she claims that pictures “are even more important than words.” She needs high-quality, high-resolution (300 dpi or higher) images or slides.
The circulation of this Cairo-based publication is about 100,000 copies – read by approximately 1 million people.
