San Antonio Report: Match the photo to the trend…
Lori here, writing to you from our Ultimate Money-Making Photography Workshop in San Antonio, Texas.
This week, in lieu of our regularly scheduled e-letter, I’ll send you special reports from the back of the conference room, providing you an insider’s look at some of the things our attendees are learning at the big event… starting with a little game of mix-and-match.
This morning, International Living’s Executive Editor Jen Stevens led a special master class for our Loyalty Club members.
She talked about current trends and which ones are influencing the sale of photographs both in stock agencies and editorial publications today.
Take a look at some of the photos she showed and see if you can match them to the appropriate trend that’s affecting photo sales, here:

The trends you see on this page aren’t meant to dictate the photos you take. But they are worth keeping in mind, Jen said.
They could tip a buyer in your direction, after all. If an ad designer has this year’s hot color in mind for a website background or a catalog page or the headline on a magazine layout, and you have photos with that color in them… then your images have a leg up.
Keep an eye on your inbox for another on-the-ground report from here in San Antonio tomorrow.
