Fund Your Travels with Your Own Money-Making Travel Blog
This week we’re talking about starting your own money-making travel blog to fund your travels to Tahiti, Paris, Australia, Rome…
Yesterday, I told you about blogging couple Jeff and Mandy Rose, who, with a touch of humor, have a knack for turning the dullest event of the day into a highly entertaining read.
Another power blogger who’s managed to blend his everyday activities with a sense of humor — and pull in six figures a year from it — is J. Money…
It’s a pseudonym, of course. He doesn’t share his real name. But he does share all kinds of details about his personal life…
Things like how he cuts his hair. What it was like to get fired and start job searching again. And eventually how he got to a point where his blog was earning a few thousand dollars a month — enough money to put job searching on hold for a while.
As a graphic designer, J. made $78,000 a year. But as a blogger, he makes over six figures (last year’s earnings were over $125,000).
And here’s the thing…
He’s not really doing anything you can’t learn to do. The important part is getting started because – like most things – blogging take a little time before it pays off. Most bloggers report a full year to a year and a half before they replace their current income. So the longer you wait, the farther away that goal will get.
The quicker you start, the quicker you can go from a few hundred…to a few thousand dollars a month like J….and, eventually turn your travels (or whatever interests you most) into your main income stream.
