How to Sell Your Travel Photos in Coffee Shops: Day 4: Photo Expedition in Bali, Indonesia

Bonnie here, coming to you on the last day of our photo expedition in Bali. I can’t believe how much we’ve done and learned in just five days. From temples to monkeys to rice fields to a cooking class… it was a whirlwind!
Here are a few shots of my fellow travel photographers in action:

And here are a few of my favorite shots from the trip:

As a travel photographer, you can make money doing all of the above and more. Of course, it doesn’t have to be in Bali. You can go wherever you please, photograph whatever you like, and “work” your own hours. And the best part is that you don’t need any experience to start.
So, where do you sell your photos when you get home?
Our instructor, professional photographer Rich Wagner, told us that one great place to start is on coffee shop walls right in your home town.
You can get professional printing online for as little as $3 for an 11″x14″ print. And you can buy pre-cut mats in sizes that will fit a standard frame.
You’ll likely only spend $6 for your matted print. But as a pro, you should base your prices on the value of the work, not the cost involved in creating it.
If you already have some good shots, you could have your own local show up as soon as next month when you allow 1-2 weeks for delivery of your prints online.
Whether your life adventures take you to far-away tropical islands… or no farther than the garden in your back yard, you can make money at this. It’s not hard. You just need to decide to do it… and then do it.
What are you waiting for?
